Award of Bid for Street Rehabilitation Work of Bus Routes at Various Locations Citywide (Project No. SP-04109)
It is recommended that the City Council take the following actions:
1. Transfer $100,000 from Project No. SP-04102 Proposition "A" fund (account number 121.81.8425.7200) and $580,000 from Project No. SP-02111 Proposition "C" fund (account number 122.81.8234.7200) to Project No. SP-04109 (account numbers 121.81.8432.7200 and 122.81.8432.7200 respectively).
2. Accept the bid of the lowest responsive bidder, All American Asphalt, in the amount of $709,500 as submitted at the bid opening on August 24, 2004, and authorize the Public Works Director/City Engineer and City Clerk to execute an agreement with All American Asphalt for the work to be done.

4) Traffic Committee Minutes - Meeting of August 17, 2004 (accept & file)

That the traffic conditions on Pacific Avenue from the northerly City limits to Cameron Avenue be reviewed.
Traffic Committee Recommendation:
That the width of the existing travel lanes be reduced by re-striping the lane lines and adding a right edge stripe in conjunction with the street resurfacing project.
That the radar trailer be utilized to make drivers aware of their vehicle speed along Pacific Avenue from the northerly city limits to Cameron Avenue.
That the Police Department increase speed and truck route enforcement and conduct vehicle lane inspections targeting overweight vehicles when feasible.
II. Request of Felicidad McIntosh, West Covina Resident
That no parking on trash pick-up days be implemented on Bandy Avenue from Walnut Creek Parkway to South Bandy Avenue.
