Outdoor Retail Display Merchandise

Outdoor Uses Overlay Zone
This ordinance was introduced at the City Council meeting of July 19, 2005. This ordinance would amend the West Covina Municipal Code by eliminating the restrictions on the type of merchandise that can be sold at the outdoor retail displays (kiosks). When the ordinance was introduced, the definitions of "specialty food items" and "specialty retail items," which had been proposed to be deleted, were added back as these definitions will continue to apply to outdoor farmer's markets. This ordinance will become effective 30 days after adoption, September 1, 2005. It is recommended that the City Council adopt the following ordinance:

a) Award of Bid for the Construction of the West Covina Cable Television Programming Office (Project No. BP-05304)
It is recommended that the City Council accept the bid of All American Painting in the amount of $44,375 submitted at the bid opening on July 6, 2005, and authorize the Public Works Director/City Engineer and City Clerk to execute the contract.

Authorize the purchase of a police surveillance camera system under City purchasing specification 0305-D, from Global ePoint of the City of Industry, for $33,765.52, including taxes and installation labor, using COPS Technology Initiative grant funds (Fund 208) and Inmate Welfare funds (Fund 150).
