STUDY SESSION
SINGLE-FAMILY HOUSE DESIGN STANDARDS - EAST HILLS
The Planning Commission held a study session on December 3, 2003. At that meeting, the Commission discussed additional photographs of good examples of architecture, updates to the Draft Format for Design Guidelines, and the creation of a Planning Commission Subcommittee for Design Review.
The following are the items that the Commission directed staff to work on:
- Revise the photographs of good examples of two-story houses.
- Implement the Subcommittee.
- Define neighborhoods within the City.
- Information on the number of additions, new houses and discretionary reviews in 2003.
- Information on Cal Poly student projects and Planning Commission funds available.

The applicant is requesting the first of three one-year extension of time for the above referenced precise plan, variance and administrative use permit.

HEARING PROCEDURE:

APPLICANT: AT&T Wireless
LOCATION: 1305 East Cameron (Cameron Park)
REQUEST: The applicant is requesting the approval of a conditional use permit to install a 56-foot 6-inch high cell phone tower that will be constructed as a clock tower. Three sets of four antennas will be located behind the clock facade and a new equipment building will be constructed on site.

REQUEST: The proposed code amendment consists of certain amendments to Chapter 26 (Zoning) of the West Covina Municipal Code amending regulations regarding the restriction of the use of a motor home or trailer as living quarters in single-family residential zones.

REQUEST: The applicant is requesting the approval of a development plan to allow the construction of a 7,545-square foot, two-story education building and an 8,007-square foot, one-story sanctuary to an existing religious facility. The property was approved for a religious facility in 1999. The applicant is also requesting the approval of a conditional use permit to allow a Sunday school use on the property and an expansion of the religious facility use. The project is located in the "Planned Community Development" (PCD-1) Zone.
