AGENDA

I. REQUEST: 

Salvatore Insinna, West Covina Resident 

THAT PARKING ON THE WEST SIDE OF WILLOW AVENUE FROM ALWOOD STREET TO FARLINGTON STREET BE RESTRICTED TO PERMIT ONLY PARKING FROM 7:00 A.M. TO 7:00 P.M., MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. 

SUMMARY: 

In response to the request to implement the permit only parking along the west side of Willow Avenue from Alwood Street to Farlington Street, a survey of the four affected properties was conducted. Three responses were received. Two (50%) of the properties are in favor of the permit only parking, one is not in favor, and one did not respond. 

STAFF RECOMMENDATION: 

THAT PARKING ON THE WEST SIDE OF WILLOW AVENUE FROM ALWOOD STREET TO FARLINGTON STREET BE RESTRICTED TO PERMIT ONLY PARKING FROM 7:00 A.M. TO 7:00 P.M., MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. 

II. REQUEST: 

Javier and Molly Elias, West Covina Residents 

THAT NO PARKING ON STREET SWEEPING DAYS BE IMPLEMENTED ON PALM DRIVE FROM ORANGE AVENUE TO MORRIS AVENUE. 

SUMMARY: 

In response to a request to prohibit parking to facilitate street sweeping on Palm Drive, a survey of the twenty-five affected properties was conducted. Seventeen responses were received with thirteen (52%) of the properties in favor of prohibiting parking on the first and third Tuesdays of each month from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., four are not in favor, and eight of the property owners did not respond to the survey. 

STAFF RECOMMENDATION: 

THAT NO PARKING ON STREET SWEEPING DAYS BE IMPLEMENTED ON PALM DRIVE FROM ORANGE AVENUE TO MORRIS AVENUE. 

III. REQUEST: 

City 

SUMMARY: 

In response to the request to prohibit parking of utility trailers on Mary Court, a survey of the eleven affected properties was conducted. Seven responses were received. Six (55%) of the properties are not in favor of allowing utility trailers to park along Mary Court, one is in favor, and four did not respond. 

STAFF RECOMMENDATION: 

THAT PARKING ALONG THE NORTH SIDE OF MARY COURT BE DELINEATED BY INSTALLING PARKING "T" AND RED CURB.
