REQUEST: Adrian Melendez, West Covina Resident THAT A "KEEP CLEAR" PAVEMENT MESSAGE BE INSTALLED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF CAMERON AVENUE AT THE PUBLIC ALLEY EAST OF GLENDORA AVENUE. SUMMARY: The resident's concern is that during the A.M. and P.M. peak hours, the westbound traffic tends to backup past the public alley denying the residents access to their properties. In addition, the restricted access may also affect emergency response. Staff is recommending the installation of a "KEEP CLEAR" pavement message and 12-inch wide solid white stripes to delineate to keep clear area will allow those residents access to their properties. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: THAT A "KEEP CLEAR" PAVEMENT MESSAGE AND 12-INCH WIDE SOLID WHITE STRIPES BE INSTALLED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF CAMERON AVENUE AT THE PUBLIC ALLEY 200-FEET EAST OF GLENDORA AVENUE. |
