Information Technology is responsible for providing security, storage and virus protection for all systems and data, planning for and maintaining disaster recovery to ensure continuation of critical business functions, providing help desk support services for telephone and computer systems, and maintaining the city's website.  

On August 16, 2016, the City Council authorized staff to begin implementing the initiatives contained in the below Comprehensive IT Assessment. The Comprehensive IT Assessment is a plan to guide the City over the next five years in planning, procuring, implementing, and managing current and future technology investments and resources.
