Walk of Fame Home

In 2008 the West Covina City Council approved the creation of a Walk of Fame inside the Big League Dreams Sportsplex to honor West Covina athletes, coaches, and sport group volunteers that have made significant contributions to make West Covina a better place to live, work, and play. The Walk of Fame will include bronze plaques that are inserted into the concrete walkways that transverse the Big League Dreams facility.

Nominations are submitted by the community for individuals that are currently or have participated in any athletic program (i.e. baseball, softball, golf, football, track and field, etc.) as an athlete, coach, or volunteer. Nominees must have represented West Covina in local, collegiate, national, and/or international competition, as well as, volunteered their time to better the sports community for fans and players of all ages to enjoy. Nominees must have exhibited high ethical standards in their respective athletic fields and in the community.

Of those nominations received, the Walk of Fame Committee will evaluate and select the top candidates to be honored at an annual dedication ceremony. The Walk of Fame Committee is a seven-member committee made up of individuals representing the City of West Covina, Big League Dreams, and the sports community. Honorees are chosen based upon a competitive process from all nominations received from the public. All applications received by the Walk of Fame Committee are held on file for consideration in future years.
