The City of West Covina is partnering with the Upper San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District (Upper District) in hosting a free business program, “Water, the Drought, and Managing Your Business.”
The presentation is scheduled for August 10, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. at West Covina City Hall, 1444 W. Garvey Avenue South. The purpose of the event is to inform local business owners about California’s drought and how new water regulations will impact their business operations. Representatives from the Upper District will provide an overview on the status of California’s drought, our local water supply, and water rebates available to businesses.
Local water companies that serve West Covina, including Suburban Water Systems, will have representatives to answer questions on the new regulations being imposed and provide information about programs they offer to aid in managing water restrictions.
The Upper District will be raffling a free water audit for a business. The audit will provide information on their water usage, methods to reduce water costs, and assist the business owner in obtaining possible equipment to conserve water.
“Water, the Drought, and Managing Your Business” is an excellent opportunity for current and future business owners to gain an understanding of operating under California’s new water regulations.
