Having trouble retaining customers and keeping them as repeat visitors? The City of West Covina and SCORE will be hosting the workshop, “Effective Networking and Keeping Customers,” on Thursday, February 18, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the West Covina City Senior Center located at 2501 East Cortez Street, West Covina, CA 91791. David Harris, a SCORE mentor, will provide advice and strategies for small businesses.
Mr. Harris has over 30 years of executive management experience in national and international sales, marketing and operations, in consumer product industries including retail, wholesale and distribution. In recent years he has applied that experience to small business, working as a consultant and holding executive positions and ownership in a number of startup ventures targeting national and international distribution in new and emerging technologies as well as commodity products. David knows how to establish and grow profitable business relationships.
Mr. Harris will provide business owners and entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn how to improve their networking skills. Attendees will develop and learn how to deliver a polished “Elevator Pitch”, and learn the key to successfully gaining the attention of prospective customers. It will also help identify networking opportunities, learn professional etiquette (the do's and don'ts), and how to “work the room” with confidence and convert contacts to sales prospects. Business owners and entrepreneurs in attendance will gain valuable insight to what it takes to retain customers and how to leverage those relationships to create new opportunities.
“The City of West Covina has partnered with SCORE to bring this great resource to the City. We hope that it continues to benefit our business community and entrepreneurs.” said West Covina Mayor James Toma.
