SCORE Workshop - Selling

Successful Selling Techniques

Having trouble with selling your product?  Has your marketing strategy not brought you the desired success?  The City of West Covina and SCORE are hosting a workshop, “Successful Selling Techniques,” on Thursday, March 31, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the West Covina City Senior Center (located at 2501 East Cortez Street, West Covina, CA 91791).  Carl Woodard, a SCORE mentor, will provide advice and strategies for small businesses.

Mr. Woodard has an extensive business career in sales.   He has marketed, managed, and sold many of the country's largest food brands, including Hunt Foods: Hunt's Tomato Sauce, Swiss Miss Cocoa, Wesson Oil, Orville Redenbacher's Gourmet Popping Corn, etc. In this workshop, Carl will show why a strong sales approach is a critical part of your company's marketing plan and your future success. Whether your sales force is large, small, or a single person, you will want to sign up for this workshop to learn and apply successful techniques to your sales effort.

Mr. Woodard will help business owners and entrepreneurs learn techniques, which will help sell their products in multiple advertising platforms.  Attendees will have the opportunity to learn how to improve their selling techniques and how to develop and learn the successful mindset of selling.  Business owners and entrepreneurs will learn how to prepare for a sale, how to approach a sale, how to handle objection, and how to close and follow-up after a sale.

“The City of West Covina is pleased to partner with SCORE to offer this workshop and encourage success in our business community,” said West Covina Mayor James Toma.
