Do you want to be a better employer but don’t know how? Could you improve your management skills? The City of West Covina and SCORE are hosting a workshop, “The Best Customer Service…How To…The Basics,” on Thursday, April 14, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the West Covina Council Chambers (located at 1444 W. Garvey Avenue South, West Covina, CA 91790). Dan Quinn, a SCORE mentor, will be presenting.
Mr. Quinn, the Senior Director of Corporate Relations at Easter Seals, Southern California, brings passion and experience to every presentation he gives. With an entire career spent in the field of hands-on retail, he is able to relate to associates at all levels because, "I've been there doing what they do.” He has over 30 years of customer service and training experience, making dynamic, hands-on, innovative training happen at all levels from one-on one mentoring to corporate presentations.
Mr. Quinn will host a very interactive, high energy workshop that focuses on treating people correctly. The workshop’s premise is very simple: Treat people how you would like to be treated. Business owners and entrepreneurs will learn how to take this simple basic concept and expand it into specific behaviors and key focus areas. All attendees can and will improve their financial and personal success by treating their people right, hiring the right people, training them correctly, rewarding them, and holding them accountable. Mr. Quinn adds, “If you always do what you've always done...you'll always get what you've always gotten. Want to get a different result? Then it's time to do something different!”
“When our local businesses succeed, the City succeeds,” stated Mayor James Toma. “We encourage our local business owners to attend the monthly workshops co-hosted with SCORE.”
