Dia De Los Puercos is a full service Mexican restaurant centered on pork dishes. Originally started as a food truck, chef/owner Rick Garcia brings his love of pork and Mexico’s street food to the City of West Covina in his first brick and mortar location.
Chef Garcia, a City of West Covina resident, expresses his passion, vision, and inspiration through his menu at Dia De Los Puercos. The recipes used for his menu are recipes passed on from his grandmother, Beatrice, and General Manager Guillermo Pinon’s mother, Josefina.
Dia De Los Puercos offers Mexican Street Food centered on the “Other White Meat” (pork) in dishes that include “mochomos” (crispy pork), “al pastor de trompo” (slow corked pork), “tinga” (chipotle pork), or “mole” (pork). The menu also includes other traditional Mexican dishes like “churritos” (churros) and “el sangweesh” (torta), but also features the Chef Garcia’s creations like the “hot pocket empanada” and “ese borracho.”
