The City of West Covina and SCORE are hosting a free workshop for businesses on “Everything You Always Wanted to Know about SBA Loans.” The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) offers a variety of loan programs for small business owners. The workshop will be on Thursday, July 27, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the West Covina City Council Chambers (located at 1444 W. Garvey Avenue South, West Covina, CA 91790).
The workshop will be presented by Jim Ely. Mr. Ely has been working for Stultz Financial, Inc., a financial company serving as SBA loan experts for both borrowers and lenders. Since 1984, he has been doing Small Business Administration Loans, where he has helped banks set up their SBA lending departments to working directly with borrowers to obtain SBA loans. Since 2004, he has been a lead instructor for the National Government Guaranteed Lenders SBA application processing class and is also a loan committee chairman for the Small Business Development Corporation of Orange County. In 2015, he was been recognized by the SBA as its Financial Services Champion of the Year.
Mr. Ely will educate the business owners and entrepreneurs all about the SBA, including what SBA loans entail, how to qualify for a SBA loan, and the process to apply. With Mr. Ely’s experience and knowledge, this is a great opportunity for attendees to further understand SBA loans, and possibly take advantage of what SBA loans have to offer.
