City of West Covina to Host Free Business Workshop on Employment Laws
WEST COVINA, CA –The City of West Covina and SCORE are hosting a “Staying Current with Employment Laws” workshop on Thursday, June 28, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the West Covina Council Chambers (located at 1444 W. Garvey Avenue South, West Covina, CA 91790). Hazel U. Poei will share with attendees about the latest legal developments and learn ways to avoid liability.
Ms. Hazel U. Poei is a Principal in the Los Angeles office of Jackson Lewis P.C. law firm. For over 15 years, she has practiced exclusively in the field of employment law. Her practice is focused on single-plaintiff, multi-plaintiff, and class action employment litigation in state and federal courts in areas such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination of employment, failure to pay wages, and more. Ms. Poei has also handled arbitration proceedings and matters before administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, and the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement.
