The City of West Covina (City) announced the partnership with the County of Los Angeles County Health Services in January 2021 for a COVID-19 testing site and possible vaccination site. The partnership has led to the opening of the Cameron Community Center COVID-19 testing site. 

Currently, the City is awaiting guidance from the County who is awaiting guidance from the State regarding a streamline standardization of vaccine prioritization, dose allocation, and vaccine administration through a centralized third-party administrator, Blue Shield of CA.  Blue Shield has been tasked with creating a network of approved healthcare providers to manage vaccinations across the state. Based on the announced State changes, the County expects these developments will modify the local vaccination planning. The City will provide updates on a possible West Covina vaccination site.
