The Community and Senior Services Commission acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council on matters pertaining to the community services needs of the citizens of West Covina relating to public recreational services, cultural activities and special events, youth services, public transportation, neighborhood and human relations, human rights, and senior services. This Commission also provides the major citizen participation vehicle for the City's Community Development Block Grant program as well as a forum for citizen expression and involvement. This Commission provides input to the Planning Commission on the master planning of Parks, and assists with the acquisition, development and maintenance of park and recreation facilities in the community.
The Community and Senior Services Commission will meet in the ODD number months on the 2nd Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. City Hall Room 314, Management Resource Center (MRC) at 1444 W Garvey Ave., West Covina, CA 91790, unless otherwise noted. Commission members are compensated $50/meeting attended for serving on the Community and Senior Services Commission.
