As part of the City's Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan, the City of West Covina is conducting an Accessibility Survey, a survey designed to gather feedback from residents and visitors about the accessibility of the city’s programs, facilities, parks, and services for people with disabilities. The survey aims to identify barriers to participation and access, as well as areas that can be improved to better serve individuals with mobility, sensory, and other disabilities.

Key topics covered include:

  • Personal experiences with accessibility issues at City facilities, parks, and programs.
  • Availability and quality of communication services like visual interpretation or assisted listening.
  • Evaluation of physical barriers, such as issues with sidewalks, pedestrian crossings, or public transit stops.
  • Accessibility of the City’s website and phone systems.
  • General feedback on areas that could be improved to make the City of West Covina more inclusive.

By collecting responses, the City seeks to enhance its services and infrastructure to ensure all community members, including those with disabilities, can fully participate in city activities and services. The survey also helps the City prioritize accessibility improvements based on community input.
