What is a Landscape Maintenance District (LMD)
A Landscape Maintenance District is a special district formed to provide benefitting property owners the opportunity to pay for enhanced landscaping and appurtenant improvements, maintenance, and services beyond those generally provided by the City. Residential homes and businesses located within the district, financially contribute to one or more LMD zones by way of a special assessment authorized by the Landscape and Lighting Act. This Act requires assessments generated within a specific geographical benefit area may only be spent to support improvements within that specific zone.
