The City of West Covina and SCORE are hosting a “Secrets to Buying a Franchise” workshop on Thursday, June 30, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the West Covina Council Chambers (located at 1444 W. Garvey Avenue South, West Covina, CA 91790). Vic Scimo of FranNet, will provide advice and strategies on how to purchase a franchise to prospective buyers.
Mr. Scimo owns FranNet, a national organization that provides free services to potential franchise owners. He has personally helped close to 1,000 people purchase a franchise over the past 15 years. In addition, Mr. Scimo was formerly a Chairman of the FranNet Board of Directors and a member of the FranNet Advisory committee. Over the past 25 years, Mr. Scimo has been a Southern California entrepreneur owning several franchises and small businesses. His entire career has been spent on entrepreneurial activities, including the food, advertising, marketing, and franchise industries.
Mr. Scimo will be presenting the workshop which will teach potential franchisees how to evaluate a franchise versus owning an independent business. This workshop will also include the best types of franchises in today’s economy, how to decide which types of franchises suits potential owners, to the legality of operating a franchise.
