The City of West Covina is delighted to announce that we will be hosting our 2^nd Annual West Covina Small Business Week (WCSBW) Program. On behalf of the City, we invite you to join us and support our local small businesses and entrepreneurs, and celebrate the big contributions they make to our community.

The City will once again partner with U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Small Business Development Center (SBDC) located at University of La Verne and Pasadena City College, SCORE, and Greater West Covina Business Association (GWC) to host this year’s WCSBW program.

The WCSBW program began on Monday, May 1, 2017, with an Awards Ceremony by the City of West Covina and an informative “Small Business Loans” presentation by the University of La Verne Small Business Development Center and CDC Small Business Finance. 

 We would like to congratulate the award winners of the 2017 West Covina Small Business Awards.

Small Business of the Year Award - Crossfit Insurgent (Owner, Brian Franzen)

 WCSBW will include the followings events:

• Wednesday | May 3, 2017 - Presentation "Effective Communication Wins Business"
  • Presentation: John Pietro, SCORE
    •   Mr. Pietro has 40 years’ experience both as an entrepreneur and an executive at leading marketing agencies and quick service restaurants. He has been a senior marketing executive for corporations like Denny’s and Wendy’s, where he worked on the famous “Where’s The Beef” Campaign.
  • Time: 6:00 p.m. -  8:00 p.m 
  • Location: West Covina City Hall (Council Chambers)
  • Appetizers will be served (Sponsored by Bun Street and Nothing Bundt Cakes)
